Local musical favorites headlining the festival
Free community-wide music at Siltanen Park welcomes three local bands from 1 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Siltanen Park, 127 Vine Hill School Road, Scotts Valley.
The “Music at Skypark” concert series returns for its 12th season with a new format and a new location – Siltanen Park. As Skypark undergoes repairs, the three-concert series turns into a one-day festival.
Music programming includes:
• 1pm: Alex Lucero and Live Again opens the festival with a palette of soul, funk, jazz and reggae.
• 3 pm: The Billy Martini Show (musical tribute from the 1970s) delivers oldies with humor and style.
• 5 pm: The Joint Chiefs presents a fusion of funk, acid, jazz and classic R&B for their 12th year in this concert series.

The Scotts Valley Kiwanis Club will host the concert again and will dedicate all proceeds to music programs in local public schools. Over the years, the event has raised more than $ 140,000, organizers report.
