FRIDAY EVENING LIVE CONCERT

Join the Houston Swimwear Department on August 27 at Discovery Green to listen to live dance-punk music “in the spirit of the B-52s and Electric Six”. The opening acts, Neighbors’ Hangout and Henry Invisible, begin at 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. respectively, with Swimwear Department at 8:30 p.m.

FIRST ARTS FESTIVAL



The Prime Art Gallery will be hosting an open market art festival on August 28 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. for sellers of beginner-to-end artists. Those present can support local artists and designers through their purchases. Only a limited number of tickets will be sold at $ 5 each and can be purchased in line.

THE SELENA EXPERIENCE

Los Chicos Del 512 will be bringing their Selena Tribute to the Miller Outdoor Theater on August 28 at 8:30 p.m. ET. Tickets are available in line two days before the event at 9 a.m. All tickets are free and required only for covered seats. No tickets are required for those sitting on the hill. The performance is also available to watch online at the Miller Outdoor Theater website.

HOUSTON BRASSOLOGY

If you’re 21 and want to spend a unique evening at the museum, join the Natural Science Museum on August 28 for the chance to taste over 150 beers from over 50 different breweries while having access to the museum’s exhibits. General admission is from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in line for $ 50.
