The audience was moved by a very personal interview with Jimmy Norman, co-founder of Aoibheann’s Pink Tie.

“Aoibheann’s pink tie was born out of hardship,” Norman said. “My little girl Aoibheann was diagnosed with cancer in 2009 when she was 7 years old… I had never even heard of childhood cancer. Going from an ordinary day to learning that her child has cancer is so extreme and so out of the realm of comprehension …. She fought a very courageous battle in her young life. “

“… The company I was working for closed… suddenly I was completely broke. At that time, in 2009-2010, there was also a collapse of the economy… I ended up staying with Aoibheann at the St John’s Ward, the pediatric cancer ward.… And I think I was put there for a reason. It was to watch the suffering, the pain and the hardships – fathers sleeping in their cars, mothers n ‘ not having enough money to pay for parking outside.… And that was the seed of Aoibheann’s Pink Tie. “

Aoibheann’s Pink Tie charity was established in 2010 in memory of Aoibheann. When Aoibheann died, men wore pink ties at funerals, which was her favorite color.

All funds raised through this Church of Scientology Community Center fundraiser go directly to the charity.
