By now, most pop culture and music fans know that Korean pop icons BTS recently visited the United States. for three consecutive days of “Permission to Dance on Stage” (or “PTD”) performances.
Although they didn’t win the Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, the band clarified that the awards show was just a pit stop to the true destination of their journey: We didn’t come to Vegas for the Grammys. We came to Vegas for ARMYs,” band leader RM said during their April 9 performance. “PTD” follows a previous series of four concerts based in Los Angeles in November and December 2021. Despite their residency lasting only four days, these concerts were so popular that they hit the largest single-hall concert engagement by any act in nearly a decade.
Amid a hectic and record-breaking year for the seven members – RM, Jin, Suga, J-hope, Jimin and Jungkook – they wrapped up their “PTD” tour with the announcement of a new album. The first teaser came at the end of their last concert on April 16, when RM left the stage with the phrase “We Are Bulletproof” – the name of the 18th track from their 2020 album “Map of the Soul: 7”. These words were immediately followed by black and white text. assembly which featured the band’s previous albums. The 50-second video ended with a date: June 10, 2022.
Sure enough, mere seconds after the announcement, BTS’s fanbase – dubbed ARMY – blasted Twitter with trending hashtags like “BTS Is Coming.” Known for their acute perception when it comes to connecting BTS Easter Eggs, ARMYs cracked the code in no time. They were convinced that a new album announcement was made hours before BTS management Big Hit Music was officially released. confirm the release on WeVerse. Although Big Hit Music has yet to release any additional information about the upcoming release, that hasn’t deterred ARMYs from making their own predictions. Propose hypotheses include that the album name will be “WE” to reflect “ME”, and that the album cover will be purple to symbolize the growth of BTS.
Whatever the future holds, BTS is sure to have their loyal ARMYs behind them, no matter what color they choose for their cover art.
