By now, most pop culture and music fans know that Korean pop icons BTS recently visited the United States. for three consecutive days of “Permission to Dance on Stage” (or “PTD”) performances.

Although they didn’t win the Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, the band clarified that the awards show was just a pit stop to the true destination of their journey: We didn’t come to Vegas for the Grammys. We came to Vegas for ARMYs,” band leader RM said during their April 9 performance. “PTD” follows a previous series of four concerts based in Los Angeles in November and December 2021. Despite their residency lasting only four days, these concerts were so popular that they hit the largest single-hall concert engagement by any act in nearly a decade.
