Live Nation today announced its strategic acquisition of the Thailand-based TERO Concerts and Entertainment Division (TERO C&E), signaling further growth in Thailand through a commitment to developing local Thai talent, while continuing to bring the most major international artists in the region.
This acquisition builds on the joint venture between Live Nation and TERO launched in 2015, where Live Nation Tero was born to promote international concerts and festivals by Western artists and bring regional artists to Thailand, including leaders of K-Pop such as Big Bang and G. Dragon. Now, with this new acquisition of the TERO C&E division, Live Nation Tero is establishing itself as a holistic company that will cover an extensive slate of international and domestic music as well as family entertainment.
Since its inception in 1998, TERO C&E has conducted nationwide tours, family entertainment, exhibitions, musicals and artist management in Thailand. The company has diversified regional content into an established family entertainment business, led by a strong relationship with the Disney on Ice franchise spanning more than 20 years.
As Thailand’s live entertainment industry revives, revenue from performances by domestic artists across Thailand is expected to grow rapidly year-over-year between 2022 and 2025. This deal brings in a respected domestic promoter and established in a key Asian market, expanding Live Nation’s reach to more fans in the region. The acquisition also deepens Live Nation’s strategy to bring new events to partner brands in the region, including Marriot, Mercedes, Toyota, Pepsi, Budweiser and Samsung hotels.
