It’s not unusual for spectators to stand upright when watching live music, and the same will be required of fans attending Sir Tom Jones’ performance in Rhyl.
Sir Tom Jones will descend on Rhyl Events Arena for his highly anticipated outdoor concert on Wednesday September 1st.
It is to celebrate the release of the Welsh legend of his 41st studio album “Surrounded by Time”.
With the doors opening at 5 p.m., an expected sold-out crowd of 7,000 and supporting actor Megan McKenna, fans are ready for a magical night.

A spokesperson for Orchard Live, promoter of the concert, said: “The Tom Jones event at Rhyl Events Arena on September 1 has always been advertised and sold as a full-fledged concert and as a result we are unfortunately not not able to allow folding chairs or picnic furniture in the arena.
“We have an accessible viewing area with temporary seating for customers with accessible needs, but tickets sold out very quickly for that area as space was limited.
“The number of tickets made available for the accessible area was determined by several factors, including the number of people present and an assessment of the health and safety risks of this standing concert.
“As stated in the terms and conditions for this event, unfortunately we cannot allow additional furniture or seating in this event.”

Covid Security
If spectators develop symptoms of Covid-19, test positive, or are asked through the NHS to self-isolate, do not attend the event.
Guests must present ONE of the following two:
- Proof of double vaccination, the second received at least 14 days before the event
- A negative lateral flow test – Registered with the NHS within 48 hours of the event.

Time
The show is to take place regardless of the weather, so spectators are encouraged to dress appropriately for the wonderful Welsh weather!
Refreshments
A variety of food and drink will be available in the arena. Spectators are not permitted to bring food and drink to the event. Participants are allowed to bring a sealed water bottle.
