The Houston Symphony’s Classic Mystery Tour rocked the pavilion’s Main Stage on Wednesday, July 27, 2022. Sponsored by Huntsman, the performance featured more than two dozen Beatles tracks performed exactly as they were originally recorded.

The four musicians of Classical Mystery Tour sound like the Beatles, but Classical Mystery Tour is more than just a rock concert. Attendees heard “Penny Lane” with a live trumpet section, discovered the beauty of “Yesterday” with acoustic guitar and string quartet, enjoyed the classic/rock mix of “I Am the Walrus” and savored the crescendos of “A Day in the Life.” From the early days of Beatles music through the solo years, the Classical Mystery Tour is the Beatles’ finest, but performed live with a symphony orchestra.

Other pre-performance activities at the North Plaza included a special art project and sponsor activations.
