Singer Tiffany apologizes for insulting fans during concert: “I panicked”

Tiffany apologizes for her behavior at a recent gig where she berated fans.

The ’80s pop star, real name Tiffany Darwish, performed her 1987 song “I Think We’re Alone Now” at a Sunday show in Florida and was caught cursing and screaming at the crowd.

Wednesday, Tiffany explained her “collapse” in an Instagram post. The 50-year-old said she lost her voice on stage and panicked.

“I had no idea I had a vocal problem. I’m not sick. I went up there. [on stage] and it just wasn’t there, and it literally freaked me out, ”Tiffany said. ” I panicked. It’s not often that I lose my voice. I went up there and had a panic attack. I had a seizure. “

Then she apologized for her rude comments. “I want to say thank you to everyone who was at the show. I love you guys, and I’m sorry for all the out of color things I said. This is definitely not the norm for me,” insisted Tiffany.

“I don’t want to cry… I’m vulnerable and I’m human. I had no idea my voice wasn’t going to show up that day, until that very moment,” Tiffany continued. “I’ve just been horrified the last few days because I just haven’t been in this situation.”

In the video obtained by TMZ On Monday, the singer was heckled by the crowd, prompting her to respond with “F — k you, guys.”

“It’s my shot!” she cried barefoot. “I’m going to sing well!”

On Tuesday, a spokesperson for the singer told Fox News that “Tiffany lost her voice and was frustrated with her performance.”

“I Think We’re Alone Now”, which is a cover of the song by Tommy James & the Shondells, was Tiffany’s biggest hit, released in 1987.

In 2019, she was the headliner of the “Mixtape Tour”, performing 55 shows in 53 cities alongside Debbie Gibson.

“I never get tired of playing ‘I think we’re alone now,'” she said. Fox News at the time. “I was an 8 year old girl spinning around in her bedroom in Norwalk, Calif. And wanting to be a singer. And it happened. And ‘I think we’re alone now’ led me to success in the whole world.”

“It was bigger than I imagined, even when I got the recording contract,” she added. “It was one thing to be a singer in America, but when I started traveling the world and everyone loved the song and wore denim jackets – knew a lot about me as a person – that It really affected me.
