A popular concert hall in Orangevale reopens on Thursday, 10 months after it closed. The boardwalk closed in January after 35 years. It has hosted nearly 2,000 concerts featuring local and national artists. The owners of Palm Tree Brewing Company in Orangevale purchased the property and intellectual rights two months ago and are preparing the venue for reopening. It will be open seven days a week during the day as “Palm Tree at The Boardwalk” serving Polynesian and American food and drink. On Thursday nights, patrons can take the stage at the “You Front the Band” party. Fridays and Saturdays will be live concerts. On Friday, Florida band The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and two Sacramento bands, Self Continuum and Yunger, hit the stage in a sold-out show.
