FREDONIA – The 1891 Fredonia Opera House Performing Arts Center today announced the cancellation of an evening with George Winston, scheduled for November 19.

According to Opera executive director Rick Davis, “The Opera received the following notice from George Winston’s management team late Tuesday afternoon:”Due to the recent outbreak of COVID-19 and the rapid increase in cases of the Delta variant, and out of concern for the safety and health of our audience, venue staff, artist and tour staff, we regret to announce the cancellation of the George Winston concert tour for the remainder of 2021. We look forward to rescheduling in 2022. Sincerely, Night Song Concerts. ‘”

Davis notes that all customers with tickets to the concert have several options available to them. They can:

Request a full refund;

Request a voucher for the Opera, without expiry date, redeemable for any event at the Opera in the future;

Convert ticket purchase into Opera 2022 membership and receive a pair of free movie tickets for the movie series;

Convert the purchase of the ticket into a donation to the Opera.
