On Sunday, December 12, the Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, Young Men’s Ensemble and Choir will perform inside the Pasadena Presbyterian Church at 585 E. Colorado Blvd., starting at 19 h.

On Sunday, December 19, the Apprentice Choir and Intermediate Choir will perform outdoors at the Farnsworth Park Amphitheater in Altadena, at 568 Mount Curve Ave. E, from 3 p.m.

More than 300 singers will take the stage in the two rooms. Malvar-Ruiz conducts the concert choir, chamber singers and the LACC choir, the SATB choir (soprano, alto, tenor and bass). Associate Artistic Director Mandy Brigham conducts the intermediate choir. Eric Lifland conducts the Apprentice Choir and Dr Steven Kronauer conducts the Young Men’s Ensemble. The choirs perform separately and in combination.

The Los Angeles Children’s Chorus has provided quality choral music training to over 2,200 children and adolescents aged 6 to 18 since 1986. Founded by Rebecca Thompson and Stephanie Mowery, the LACC Premier Choir has been brought together to sing the choir part of children for Britten’s “War Requiem.” The LACC has grown to include six increasingly experienced choirs, a First Experiences Singing (FES) curriculum for boys and girls ages 6-7, and a First Experiences Choral Set for students. FES graduates and children auditioning at the pre-preparatory level.

LACC’s comprehensive program addresses all learning styles and levels of experience through a sequential music literacy program and rehearsal program, where choristers master a stimulating multilingual repertoire of fine choral music in style. bel canto. The choristers also acquire a solid training in music theory and receive individual vocal coaching.

Tickets for the Pasadena concert on December 12 are $ 29 to $ 49 for adults and $ 14.50 to $ 24.50 for children under 18.
