Lizzo returns to Minnesota in September for her first concert here since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Grammy winner, who developed her career in Minneapolis, will perform at the 16,000-seat Treasure Island Amphitheater in Welch on September 11.

Tickets for the show go on sale at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 7. General admission is $ 47 and reserved seat tickets start at $ 68. You can buy them online here.

Tickets should go quickly. The artist behind the hits The truth hurts, juice, good as hell and others are headlining some of the best music festivals this summer, including Bonnaroo on September 2.

The Minnesota show appears to be her only standalone gig on her 2021 tour schedule. Her last Minnesota shows sold out at The Armory in Minneapolis in October 2019, since when she solidified her place as a go-to performer.

Lizzo, real name Melissa Jefferson, grew up in Detroit and Houston before moving to Minneapolis, where she performed in small clubs with her trio The Chalice before releasing her first solo album in 2013. Her smash hit Good as hell was released in 2016 and she moved to Los Angeles the following year after signing a recording contract with Atlantic Records.

She is expected to release a new album this fall.
