Cold Turkey (Thursday, November 25)

There will be an unofficial Turkey trot Thursday, November 25, 8:30 am to 10:30 am Runners must meet at Pilgrims’ First Landing Park, 1 Commercial St. in Provincetown. There are two routes: a two mile option to Herring Cove and back; or a five mile option to Herring Cove, the Provincetown monument and back. All are welcome, including children and canine companions.

Double crown (Friday, November 26)

Roxy Pops hosts the annual “Day After Thanksgiving Drag Bingo” at the Crown and anchor, 247 Commercial St. in Provincetown, Friday, Nov. 26, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. A perk for the Provincetown Business Guild, $ 40 gets you eight rounds of bingo with a chance to win prizes in each round. Chestnut roasting (Friday November 26 – Saturday November 27)

Bob Keary presents “Good Night, Provincetown” at Post office cafe, 303 Commercial St. in Provincetown, Friday, November 26, 9 pm The next day, November 27, Mona Mour, supported by the Mike Flanagan Trio, presents “Mona’s Chestnuts” at 9 pm. It’s a gift (Friday November 26 – Saturday November 27)

There will be an outdoor holiday market at Vineyards of Truro, 11 Shore Road, Friday November 26 and Saturday November 27. Shop local vendors and performers while sampling libations and bites from the Crush Pad Food Truck. Reservations required. Friday is fully booked, but there are slots available on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $ 5 at trurovineyardsofcapecod.com.

Holiday Market (Friday November 26 – Sunday November 28)

Quiet as a mouse (Saturday, November 27)

There will be a book signing for Marian R. Carlson’s The adventures of the Plimoth plantation: told by the mayflower mouse To Snow library, 67, rue Main in Orléans, Saturday, November 27, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Carlson is a children’s author from Chatham. Visit snowlibrary.org for details.

Be festive (Saturday, November 27)

Orleans winter festival will kick off on Saturday, November 27 with a candlelight walk with Ms. Claus starting at 5 p.m., followed by a tree-lit tree at Depot Square. Lobster Light (Saturday, November 27)

Directory Lobster tree lighting will take place on Saturday, November 27 at 5:30 p.m. at Lopes Square in Provincetown. A dozen tall traps covered with arcs and red lights, the Lobster Pot Tree was started in 2004 by artist Julian Popko to honor local lobster boats.

See the light (Sunday, November 28)

To rejoin Nauset scholarship for a free screening of the film Journeys in the Light: Untold Stories of Cape Cod Sunday, November 28 at 10 a.m. The film is about the Zion Union Heritage Museum in Hyannis, which celebrates the history of African Americans, Cape Verdeans and Wampanoag people on Cape Cod.
