WPTV NewsChannel 5 reached out to Live Nation early Thursday morning to ask how Maroon 5’s policy enforcement would work on Thursday night’s show and is awaiting a response.

However, the venue website said, “… Some common measures may include, but are not limited to: proof of complete COVID-19 vaccination, proof of a negative COVID-19 diagnostic test result before entering the event , a quick COVID-19 test on site, or by participating in a short health questionnaire. “

Governor Ron DeSantis issued an executive order in April to ban so-called COVID-19 vaccine passports in Florida, “It is totally unacceptable that the government or the private sector require you to show proof of vaccine just to be able to participate in normal society.

Christina Pushaw, press secretary to Governor Ron DeSantis, added further, telling the Florida Times Union: “If bystanders can provide a negative COVID test instead of a vaccine passport, it is acceptable under the law. People who wish to present proof of vaccination instead of a COVID test are free to do so. It just cannot be coerced.

President Joe Biden has called on resistant Republican governors to “deviate” from vaccine rules aimed at containing the most transmissible and dangerous COVID-19 variant. He supported municipal and private mandates requiring people to be vaccinated to go about their daily activities.
