(NYSE: GCI) today announced an agreement with TicketSmarter to provide the audience of more than 145 million monthly visitors to USA TODAY NETWORK the ability to ” buy tickets for concerts, sporting and theatrical events across the country. Before the end of the year, TicketSmarter’s branding and ticketing offerings will be integrated on USATODAY.com, 250 local media sites and over 70 vertical sports venues.

A one-of-a-kind deal for Gannett and TicketSmarter, the deal will bring ticketing seamless integration to Gannett’s sports and entertainment content, with the ability to purchase tickets directly from content readers are already consuming. This integration will allow readers to access sporting, entertainment and lifestyle event information on USA TODAY NETWORK sites that link to relevant artist profiles and ticket availability on the TicketSmarter site.
