The Dubai Shopping Festival returns for its 27th year, from Wednesday to the end of January. Expect shopping deals, concerts, nightly shows, family entertainment, outdoor markets, and pop-up restaurants. There will also be a program of events at Expo 2020 Dubai to coincide with the event.

Opening concert

Emirati-Yemeni singer Balqees Fathi and Egyptian artist Mohamed Hamaki will take the stage for the DSF opening performance on Wednesday at Burj Park. Tickets start from Dh75. In addition to the live concert, there will also be a Burj Khalifa light show, dancing fountains and performance artists.

Drone shows

Returning for another year, the DSF Drone Light Show will take place at Bluewaters Island, The Beach across from JBR and the brand new Ain Dubai. The show will take place daily at 7.15pm and 9.30pm, and will also be complemented by a light show in Ain Dubai.

Live music

Another addition to this year’s festival is TunesDXB at La Mer, which will take place over three days. DSF Markets is also returning to various locations including Al Seef, Rigga, Al Khawaneej and Global Village. Etisalat Market OBT, the flagship destination for alternative shopping, returns to Burj Park and features food kiosks and area concepts. This year, it will also have its own roller skating rink and a padel court.

Contextual concepts

Emirati women will benefit from a special showcase as part of the new Pop Ups Ladies Homegrown. The platform aims to provide support to local businesses in the UAE. Global brand activations are also expected to return, although more details will be announced in January.

Daily fireworks

As in previous years, daily fireworks will take place to provide spectators with a fireworks display from vantage points across the city. They will also be associated with the daily DSF Done Show.
