(Dorset, VT – July 22, 2022) The Dorset Theater Festival’s 45th season of professional summer theater will continue with Back Together Again: The Music of Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway, a new concert featuring Christina Acosta Robinson and Ken Robinson .

Friends since their college days, Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway have risen to the top of the Billboard charts as one of the most beloved and melodious duos in music history, recording some of the most adored duets in all time as “Where Is The Love”. and “The closer I get to you”. Now Broadway performers and husband and wife Christina Acosta Robinson and Ken Robinson are reuniting the love again for a concert of the couple’s iconic hits that inspired a generation.

“Our theme this summer is really ‘Back Together Again’ – for joy, for laughter and for community,” said artistic director Dina Janis. “The joy and heart of the music itself can heal and inspire, while celebrating the history and impact of these important artists,” Janis said.

Offstage husband and wife Christina Acosta Robinson and Ken Robinson shared the Broadway stage two years ago in Summer: The Donna Summer Musical. Ken Robinson’s other Broadway credits include The Color Purple, Memphis and Baby It’s You! He has appeared in theaters across the country, including Off-Broadway’s New York Theater Workshop, Cincinnati Playhouse, Contemporary American Theater Festival, Cleveland Playhouse, and Alliance Theater. Christina Acosta Robinson has appeared at Yale Repertory Theatre, Two River Theatre, Milwaukee Repertory Theater and the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Both Robinsons are graduates of the Yale School of Drama.

“We are so excited and honored to celebrate the timeless music of these two accomplished musicians, Donny Hathaway and Roberta Flack. We can’t think of a better way to all come together live and in person,” Christina Robinson said.

Back Together Again will also feature musician and musical director Taylor Peckham, whose Broadway and Off-Broadway credits include Summer: The Donna Summer Musical and Come From Away, The Wrong Man and Jersey Boys.

Back Together Again, which runs approximately 85 minutes with no intermission, begins performances on Wednesday, July 27 and runs through Sunday, August 7. More information is available on the Dorset website www.dorsettheatrefestival.org. Tickets and subscriptions for the 2022 season are on sale now. Based on current conditions and health and safety guidelines, all attendees will be required to wear a mask during performances at The Playhouse; however, this is subject to change.
