• YOUNGSTOWN – The Dana School of Music announces a performance by Dana Opera Ensemble called “Seven Deadly Scenes” at 7:30 pm Friday (19-11-21) in the Spotlight Theater at Bliss Hall.

The program is free and open to the public. Masks are mandatory in all YSU buildings.

The Ensemble is conducted by Dr Misook Yun, while Kathy Miller is the collaborating pianist.

• YOUNGSTOWN – The Dana Music School announces pair of master classes and recital by guest artists David Bowlin, violin, and Tony Cho, piano, Saturday (11-20-21) in the room of happiness.

Tony Cho will give a vocal masterclass from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Bliss Hall 2326.

David Bowlin will give a violin masterclass from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Bliss Hall 3139.

They will then present a joint chamber music violin and piano recital at 7:30 p.m. in the Bliss Recital Hall.

The master classes and recitals are free and open to the public. Masks are mandatory in all YSU buildings.

• NEW WILMINGTON – Singers from Westminster College will perform “Sing Out: an exploration of poetry in song” at 3 p.m. on Sunday (11-21-21) at Wallace Memorial Chapel on the Westminster campus.

Ashley Graziani, Acting Vocal Director and Faculty Member of Westminster’s School of Music, will lead the Women’s Choir, Men’s Choir and Concert Choir. Edgar Groves, faculty member of the School of Music and former director of the Shenango Valley Chorale, will lead the Chamber Singers and combined choirs.

The concert is free and open to the public. Participants are required to wear masks at all times. The concert will also be broadcast live on https://www.youtube.com/ReJfub91G8U. The concert video can be viewed on the same link from November 22.

• YOUNGSTOWN – The Youngstown State University Wind Ensemble, led by Dr Michael S. Butler, will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Monday (11-22-21) at Stambaugh Auditorium, 1000 Fifth Ave., Youngstown.

Tickets cost $ 8 for adults, $ 7 for seniors, free for anyone with a valid YSU ID and available at www.stambaughauditorium.com or at the door.

The set includes nearly 60 students and several student bedroom sets will be present throughout the show.

• MAJORDOME – Butler County Symphony Association will perform a concert, “Holiday Traditions” at 7:30 pm on December 4 in the auditorium of Butler Intermediate High School.

The concert will feature traditional Christmas carols and musical selections from “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”, “Polar Express” and “Home Alone”.

• NEW WILMINGTON – Tickets are available now for Westminster College Celebrity Series Vacation Show starring The Midtown Men, for 7:30 p.m. on December 4 in the auditorium of Orr.

Bringing together the stars of the Broadway hit, “Jersey Boys”, Midtown Men will ring in the Christmas season with their show “Holiday Hits”. The evening of songs and stories will feature iconic Christmas classics such as “Winter Wonderland”, “Let It Snow” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”, as well as iconic renditions of the greatest rock and roll hits. from the 1960s.

The popular vocal group will offer audiences songs from The Beatles, The Temptations, The Four Seasons and their holiday single, “All Alone on Christmas,” which the group recorded with Stevie Van Zandt and members of The E Street Band. by Bruce Springsteen. .
