Summer concerts are a popular entertainment option in Mid-Michigan and Creative 360 is thrilled to announce two new acts to Midland’s active summer music scene.

“We know there are plenty of free music options in Midland over the summer,” said public relations coordinator Laura Brigham. “Because we rely on ticket sales to support our inclusive summer programs, we know we need to bring something new to the stage!”

Conjunto Champz will return to the Creative 360 Outdoor Stage at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, July 29 to perform authentic Tejano music. This fiery music, also known as Tex-Mex, fuses Mexican and Spanish vocal traditions with Czech and German tunes and dance rhythms, especially the polka.

The members of Conjunto Champz are Isaac Champ Garcia, vocals, keyboard, accordion; Jerardo Gary Lopez, backing vocals, bass guitar; Frank Lopez, guitar; Rolando Lopez, backing vocals, drums; and Louie Garcia, sax, keyboard, vocals. The band has been performing for 10 years and tours nationally every year.

“We love Conjunto Champz,” said Laura Vosejpka, Executive Director of Creative 360. “They have a natural rapport with their audience and have so much fun with their music that it’s impossible to sit still. It’s going to be a very fun night!

To make the evening even more festive, Gladys, the Proper Taco Truck, will be in the Creative 360 parking lot during the Conjunto Champz performance. The concert will take place outside in the pavilion at 1517 Bayliss Street. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets and BYOB. In case of rain, the show will take place indoors.

Creative 360 will host an intimate evening with MIZNXN at 7 p.m. on Saturday, August 6 on the Indoor Stage. MIZNXN has chosen a “Show and Tell” theme for this performance, and attendees are encouraged to bring something special – art, writing, a funny or sentimental item – to share.

MIZNXN is known for its dreamy viola reminiscent of Billie Eilish and the powerful poetic lyrics of early Joni Mitchell. This self-proclaimed “entertainment juggernaut” can be seen performing in the Great Lakes Bay Area this summer, but in her solo performance at Creative 360, she can incorporate audiences in a personal and playful way.

“MIZNXN opens for a few shows in the Tri-City area, but we’re thrilled to have a whole program featuring her,” said Colleen Reed, Creative 360 Program Director. fits perfectly with Creative 360 and his unique audience interaction will really shine in this show.”

Admission to each concert is $10 in advance purchase, $15 the night of the show, free for ages 10 and under.
