TICKETS for this year’s Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival concerts will go on sale from next month.
The concerts, which will take place at Bridgwater Town Hall between Monday October 3 and Saturday October 15, have been an annual feature of the town since 1883.
This is a series of performances leading up to the Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival procession on Saturday 5th November.
Tickets should go on sale from Tuesday, May 3.
Mike Crocker, chairman of the Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival, said: “Our carnival concerts are hugely popular and renowned across the county, and it’s great to see them back in 2022.
“I can’t wait for them to start, and I can’t wait to see our revelers back on stage and entertain the audience again.”
Over 4,500 tickets are available for performances, where a cast of over 600 performers from 13 carnival clubs, dance troupes and curtain numbers entertain a captivated audience.
Concert tickets were sponsored by Somerset Car Sales.
Tickets cost between £11.50 and £16.

As preparations for the carnival concerts gather pace, the Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival Committee is still on the lookout for backstage acts to perform at this year’s show.

Anne Middleton, secretary and concert coordinator of the Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival, added: “The purpose of the first curtain numbers is to entertain the public between performances by Bridgwater Carnival’s 13 clubs and two dance troupes.
“We’d love to hear from individuals and groups who enjoy performing on stage in front of an audience and can entertain for five minutes during this year’s show.”
Auditions for the first curtain acts will take place at Bridgwater Town Hall on Tuesday 24 May.
