MANILA, Philippines – This was to be Ben&Ben’s first major and farewell concert before the start of their North American tour at the end of the month, but the nine-piece band had to cancel their September 3 concert at the CCP Grounds in due to bad weather.

The group posted on their social media accounts on September 3 to announce the postponement of the concert.

“It breaks our hearts to announce that due to the terrible weather conditions, the Ben&Ben Send-Off concert will be postponed to a later date,” the band announced.

“The sudden heavy rain, high winds and impending flooding in the area have posed potential safety risks to all who attend. Safety is our top priority and we have carefully made this decision with Ovation Productions, our official event producer. More details soon. Be safe, everyone,” he added.

Typhoon Henry (international name: Hinnamnor) looms over the far north of Luzon in the Philippines area of ​​responsibility on September 3. Its presence enhances the effect of the southwest moon (habagat) which causes unfavorable weather conditions in most of Luzon.

Ben&Ben has not yet given more details on the new date of the concert.

The group is scheduled to perform in the United States and Canada from September 23 to October 15. US gigs include San Francisco and Los Angeles in California; Washington, DC and New York in the United States. They are also scheduled to perform in Canada in Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto and Vancouver.

Besides the concert, Ben&Ben is set to release the music video for their new song, “The Ones We Once Loved”, on September 3 at 6 p.m., two hours before the opening of the postponed concert.
