Jo Whiley said, âDuran Duran and Coldplay are two breathtaking bands and I can’t wait to welcome them to In Concert in December. Duran Duran has been a part of my life since I was a teenager in the 80’s and I’m so proud to say I’ve been a part of the world of Coldplay since their very early days! Please join us for these two incredible concerts.
Jeff Smith, Head of Music for Radio 2, said: âI am delighted that Radio 2 In Concert returns in December with two outstanding performances from two of the world’s greatest bands – Duran Duran and Coldplay. With them performing their biggest hits and latest music in front of a small audience of fans, it will be a real treat … and certainly the hottest ticket in town!
Simon Le Bon from Duran Duran said: âWe are looking forward to playing for Radio 2 In Concert in December. The station supported us and our music more than we could have hoped for. So finally, we will be able to play songs from our new album, FUTURE PAST, as well as classics by Duran Duran at the wonderful BBC Radio Theater, and add our name to the illustrious list of artists who have been part of this legendary series. “
Coldplay said, âPerforming live and connecting with people is the reason we exist as a band, so we’re very happy to play Radio 2 In Concert. It will be a special night, so join us in person, on the radio or on BBC iPlayer.
