But encompassing the sense of place and purpose long associated with Sublime’s music, bad fisha tribute to

Sublime continues to channel Sublime’s spirit with a fury unfelt for some time. What separates Badfish from other tribute bands is that they replicated the essence of Sublime, developing a dedicated stage and following most often reserved for label-focused mainstream artists. Badfish marks the public by playing with the spirit of Sublime. They don’t work like Sublime would or would have, but like Badfish does!

It all started when four Boston-raised kids joined forces in the late ’80s to form Extreme. With an original new sound and groundbreaking records, the quartet were immediately recognized as innovators in the world of rock & roll. The band called their music “Funky Metal” in their early days, but it would evolve much more in the mid-90s, mixing classic rock influences with post-grunge and alternative rock.

Fueling Extreme’s popularity are guitar virtuoso Nuno Bettencourt’s signature style, Gary Cherone’s resonant vocals and socially conscious lyrics, Pat Badger’s rock-solid bass and hard-hitting Kevin Figueiredo on drums. Their unwavering songcraft and diverse musical approaches have earned the band multi-platinum albums with chart-topping hits and sold-out tours around the world.

The eponymous,Extreme, was the first of the group studio album and was released in 1989. It produced four singles: “Little Girls”, “Me as a child“, “Mutha (I don’t want to go to school today)” and “Play with mewhich years later would introduce Extreme to a whole new generation of fans with its inclusion in the popular video game Guitar Hero. The disc foreshadowed the extraordinary technical prowess on the guitar of Portuguese-born guitarist Nuno Bettencourt.

Based on the enthusiasm of rock aficionados and diehard fans who have followed the band since their eponymous debut, Extreme have continuously toured the world, showcasing material from their illustrious career. The group had their greatest success with their 1990 album pornograffitiwhich peaked at number 10 on the Billboard 200, and has been certified multi-platinum. But it was the acoustic ballad Single “more than words“, which reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 in the United States and landed Extreme its first hit song. The next single, “Hole in the heart“, another acoustic track, was also successful, peaking at #4 on the same popular music chart. “Decadence Dance” and “Get the Funk Out” were also released as singles, both reaching the bottom half of Billboard’s rock chart and become fan favorites.

“Even though we love recording, for me, I’ve always loved performing live for the fans,” Cherone says. “We can’t wait to get out there and perform our music live.”

Nuno explains. “We always look forward to going on tour, to putting on a show. This is really where the band shines.

To date, Grammy-nominated EXTREME has released six albums, plus a greatest hits set and a recent live DVD, selling over 10 million records worldwide.
