Cody Rhodes may have left AEW, but just because Cody and Brandi’s stories are over doesn’t mean the company has run out of questionable ideas. Next month, before the AEW Revolution PPV, AEW will host a live concert, AEW Music Live. The show will feature live performances of AEW theme songs as well as songs from the upcoming Who We Are: A Celebration of Excellence Vol. 1 hip hop compilation, performed by AEW music producer Mikey Ruckus featuring rappers Monteasy and Wrestle and flow.

Excerpt from the press release:

Two days before the release of his new collaborative album, Who We Are: A Celebration of Excellence, Vol. On January 1, AEW announced the launch of a live concert experience, “AEW Music Live!” with its very first show in Orlando on Saturday, March 5. Taking place at The Venue at UCF ahead of the highly anticipated AEW REVOLUTION pay-per-view, AEW Music LIVE! adds yet another dimension to the AEW Themes footprint, which continues to captivate listeners around the world with chart-topping music.

Tickets for the concert are on sale now and can be purchased through Ticketmaster. Doors to the event open Saturday, March 5 at 8 p.m. ET, with the show starting at 8:30 p.m.

The announcement builds momentum for AEW themes. “I AM,” the theme song for new AEW signature Keith Lee, has garnered over 340,000 views on YouTube since its launch last Wednesday night, and it was announced that Who We Are: A Celebration of Excellence, Vol. 1 will benefit the Bootsy Collins Foundation, with the legendary funk musician contributing the initial track for the project.

AEW Music LIVE! will be headlined by AEW in-house producer Mikey Rukus and will feature a live band and support from rappers Monteasy, who contributed the theme song “Take Flight” to AEW TNT Champion Sammy Guevara and Wrestle and Flow, known for Shawn Spears and Serena Deeb’s AEW Themes. Both rappers have been an integral part of Who We Are, and performances at the concert will include both original AEW themes and songs from the upcoming album.

A series of AEW concerts was inspired by the critically acclaimed live performance of Rukus from The Lucha Bros. theme, “Zero Miedo” at the AEW ALL OUT pay-per-view in September. Shortly after, Adam Cole’s “All About Tha (Boom!)” track reached No. 1 on the iTunes Metal Chart. Now, the themes that exemplify the personalities of AEW’s world-class roster can be experienced like never before through this concert series, the first of its kind.

Mikey Ruckus had the following to say about it:

Since day one, AEW Themes’ mission has been to provide a multi-faceted experience for fans. Beyond telling stories for our incredible talent as they make their way to the ring, we strive to create music that can transcend and be experienced in different contexts. This includes being added to personal playlists, being heard in sports arenas across the United States, and now, our first-ever live concert setting. Fans heading to Orlando for REVOLUTION have a unique opportunity to enjoy their favorite themes in the energy of a live concert, and it’s the start of AEW offering an amazing new experience on the road.
