Country superstar Jon Pardi brought his ‘Ain’t Always the Cowboy’ tour to Milwaukee for an evening of live music at the BMO Harris Pavilion. Joined by special guests Lainey Wilson and Hailey Whitters, Pardi partied by the lake, performing her collection of number one singles and excerpts from her brand new album released just days ago.

School may be back, but it’s not too late to catch an outdoor concert this season, as evidenced by the thousands of fans who flocked to the BMO Harris Pavilion on Friday night.

Here are six reasons you shouldn’t have missed Jon Pardi’s performance in Milwaukee last night:

Although a few artists are yet to perform on the Summerfest grounds over the next month, Friday night marked the last big outdoor country concert of the season. Following Pardi and Keith Urban’s AmFam Amp show in August, the state’s next big country shows will all be indoors over the next few months, whether it’s Carrie Underwood at Fiserv Forum or the pair of Wisconsin performances by Luke Combs at the Resch Center in Green Bay.

Jon Pardi released his fourth studio album, “Mr. Saturday Night,” a week ago today. Fans got to see Pardi transform into Mr. Friday Night as he performed a number of tracks from his brand new LP, including tracks like “Longneck Way To Go” and “Last Night Lonely”, his first single from the album.

Fans weren’t just treated to performances from Pardi’s new project, as he also delivered a number of entertaining performances of his biggest hits to date, including “Heartache Medication”, “Head Over Boots”, ” Ain’t Always the Cowboy” and, of course, “Dirt on My Boots”. Despite only having a few albums in his career, Jon Pardi could release a greatest hits album as he has for decades.

From shows at The Rave to opening sets for artists at Summerfest, Jon Pardi is no stranger to Milwaukee — but last night’s show was his biggest show yet in the city. His days of performing for intimate touring crowds are long gone, and if you’re a Jon Pardi fan, then you were probably there last night to enjoy his big performance for his Wisconsin fans.

Although last night was Jon Pardi’s biggest show in Milwaukee to date, his momentum is growing and it’s only getting bigger by the day. With the release of his brand new album, led by one of his biggest singles of his career with “Last Night Lonely”, last night’s show may feel intimate in hindsight of what might follow for the California native. surprised if Pardi is switching to the AmFam Amp on his next tour.

Lainey WilsonX

There wasn’t just one fast-growing country star on the lineup, as Lainey Wilson set the stage for Jon Pardi with his supporting performance. Wilson made headlines a few days ago after not only receiving his first Country Music Association Award nomination, but also topping all artists with six names, including album of the year. Needless to say, Wilson is having an unprecedented breakout year, and although she was just picked to open for Luke Combs’ massive stadium tour, she won’t be opening for a long time.

Lainey Wilson showcased her talents Friday with tracks from her CMA-nominated album, “Sayin’ What I’m Thinkin’,” including her hit single, “Things a Man Oughta Know.”
